Rena Bianca is the main beach of Santa Teresa Gallura, a short walk from the center. It stretches for about 700 meters in a protected bay between the Municca peninsula, the islet of Municchedda and the promontory with the Longonsardo Tower. The sand is very fine, white, and on the shoreline takes on delicate pink hues thanks to fragments of coral and small minerals. The sea, always clear, offers shades ranging from blue to turquoise and emerald green, with shallow, sandy bottoms, perfect for families, snorkelers, and those who like safety in the water.
The beach is easily accessible on foot or by car, well-equipped with parking lots, bars, refreshment facilities, rental of umbrellas, sunbeds, canoes and pedal boats, and also has facilities for the disabled, showers, smoking area and public toilets. It has received major awards such as the Blue Flag, Pediatricians' Green Flag and Legambiente's Five Sails, confirming its environmental quality and services.
During the summer it can get very crowded; for a quieter experience it is best to arrive early in the morning. The beach is closed during June-September and requires a daily reservation with an environmental fee of €3.50, which also includes the mandatory use of a mat to preserve the sandy shore. By abiding by these rules and arriving prepared, Rena Bianca delivers one of the most authentic and beautiful beach experiences in Gallura.
